Greenwich Peninsula, London

Another portion of ‘lazy’ iPhone X photography from Greenwich Peninsula in London. Starting at the North Greenwich station, past the O2, along the Thames, across the retail park – the least attractive part – and then through the gentrified area and uphill towards the famous London panorama. The Greenwich Park is vast and pleasant. I didn’t book the online tickets and was turned away from the Royal Obserwatory…too bad.

Compared to the buzz of central London, Greenwich is almost peaceful. I was extremely thirsty having walked for over an hour in a hot weather, and the nearest shop was M&S Food…I’ll tell you a little secret: they sell cheap (!) soft drinks like this one https://www.ocado.com/products/m-s-lemonade-514787011 but they’re hidden away at the back of the shop. There was a street food market next to Cutty Sark, but it was too hot for me for such food and it was overpriced anyway.

Beautiful photos. Especially the city in the background with the pink flowers in the forground. I think the flowers maybe Red Valerian. Stunning!

Thank you, the flowers certainly add interest to the composition 🙂
